The French Flute Academy takes place 3-4 times per year in Durham, NC. Each session lasts 5 days. It is an intensive program. Students come and stay housed in private homes (or hotels) at night, and the day runs from 9:00am - 5:00pm. The morning is reserved for group discussions or collective lessons, as well as flute choir activities, while in the afternoons, students have private lessons from Nicolas Duchamp or practice in seclusion to prepare for the final concert.

Recommendation: 1 hour per day; 1.5 hours for deeper practice; 30 minutes is good if you are new to playing with others. Pianist fee is to be paid on the first day of the Academy.
